Distribute specific onboarding instructions to your participants

To ensure smooth onboarding of participants on the Spire Health Research Platform, we recommend distributing clear instructions. Contact your Spire Health Sales Associate for assistance.

In addition, participants should also be provided very specific guidelines on the following items (according to study requirements):

  1. How long they are required to wear Health Tags on a daily basis
  2. How often they are required to keep their phones nearby

Monitor compliance on daily basis

There are 3 key components to monitoring compliance:

  1. Did participants pair the Spire Health Tags that have been sent to them?
  2. Are participants wearing the Health Tags as required by your research on daily basis?
  3. Are participants keeping the phone close to them to allow the syncing and transmission of their physiological data?

Answers to these questions can be found by viewing the User and Device Compliance reports from the Research Portal. You can also pull the compliance data using APIs.

It's very important that you monitor the compliance daily and reach out to participants who are not complying, particularly in the beginning stages of your study. If participants are failing to satisfy compliance requirements, you may need to reach out to them through email, text or phone call to remind them (or arrange for Spire Health to do so -- contact your Spire Health Sales Associate for more information).

Download data on a frequent basis

It is important to download data on a daily or weekly basis to examine the kinds of physiological data you are receiving from your participants and using these insights to continually build your outcome models.
